Emily Walford ~ Co-Founder and Director

As a parent of 5 and an experienced teacher across a wide age range, I am passionate about education and feel strongly that an active, child-led, holistic educational experience is paramount to future success. 

Lockdown and the subsequent fall-out for children and families has led me to hone my skills, not only in children's mental health but also in what I believe education should look like in today's world. One of our biggest drives in TreeHouse Education is to build children's resilience, self esteem and confidence to face life's challenges and to choose to be curious and 'have a go'.

I am trained as a yoga, dance and drama teacher and have many years of expertise in teaching early reading skills including phonics. I love to travel and to read and I weave these experiences into my teaching wherever possible.
